TI-84 Plus CE Program Components: Alphabetical

TI-84 Plus CE Program Components — Alphabetical Reference Guide

This page breaks down the individual .8xp component programs used across the mcstutoring catalog. Components are listed alphabetically by file name, making it easy to look up a specific program you already know about or to browse the full catalog in order. Each card explains what the program does and which products include it.

How to use this page: Each card below describes one actual calculator program file — for example, UNITCONJ, MECH1, THERMO6, or KEM2V2B. The "Used In" section shows which products or bundles include that file. This page is meant to help you understand what each individual component does before you buy a bundle. Need help getting programs onto your calculator? See the Complete Setup Guide, the install video, or the memory management video.

EMBASICH

Used in 5 products
EMBASICH Solver / Reference / Converter Electricity & Magnetism

EMBASICH is the complete foundational E&M solver and reference suite for AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and introductory Physics C: E&M topics. Unlike a simple formula sheet, it is a fully interactive solver — students enter values and get computed answers, with the program handling the formula work automatically.

The program is organized into six main sections. Electric Fields covers Coulomb's Law (all four variables), electric field calculations using both F/q and kq/r², electric potential, potential energy, work, electric dipoles with torque and energy, and Gauss's Law for point, line, and plane charge distributions. Circuit Analysis covers Ohm's Law, series and parallel resistor networks, all three power formulas, Kirchhoff's Loop and Junction Rules with interactive element entry, and full RC circuit behavior for charge, current, time constant, and stored energy. Magnetic Fields covers Lorentz force on charges and current-carrying wires, Biot-Savart Law, Ampere's Law for wires, solenoids, and toroids, magnetic flux, and solenoid inductance. Electromagnetism covers Faraday's Law, Lenz's Law, motional EMF, transformer voltage and current ratios, and LR circuit behavior for both growing and decaying current. E&M Unit Conversion is a focused converter for the units students actually encounter in E&M work — force (N, lbf, dyn), energy (J, eV, cal, kWh), power (W, hp, BTU/h), charge (C, e, Ah), current (A, mA, µA), potential (V, mV, kV), electric field (N/C = V/m), and magnetic units (T, G, Wb, Mx). A Memory utility lets students store and recall the last computed result across calculations.

All six trig-dependent solvers (dipole torque and energy, Lorentz force, Biot-Savart, and magnetic flux) include a degree/radian choice at input, so students are not forced to convert angles before entering values. Help screens with formulas and conceptual explanations are available inside each major section. This is the core E&M workhorse for most students before moving into the AC circuits, phasors, and Maxwell's Equations coverage in EMADVJ.

That last section is particularly useful for problems where gas is escaping, being added, or transferred between containers, and it solves for any of eight variables across both states. The MORE Functions menu adds Dalton's Law for mixed gas total pressure (2–4 gases), RMS velocity, and a built-in Gas Constant R reference with all four R values and STP molar volumes. Every law submenu displays its formula in the header, and built-in help screens cover unit requirements, R value selection, and when to use the Full Combined Law versus the standard Combined Law.
