Electricity & Magnetism Physics Bundle (TI-84 Plus CE)
⚡ AP Physics 2: Electricity · Magnetism · Circuits · Induction · Waves & Optics
Turn your TI-84 Plus CE into a powerful electricity & magnetism problem-solving tool. This bundle includes five calculator programs covering electrostatics, capacitors, DC circuits, magnetic fields, electromagnetic induction, inductors, transformers, AC circuits, wave optics, photon energy, spectroscopy, and unit conversions.
The bundle is organized into three main E&M solver programs: EM1 for electrostatics, capacitors, and DC circuits; EM2 for magnetism, electromagnetic induction, inductors, and transformers; and EM3 for AC circuits, impedance, resonance, phasors, and wave optics. It also includes WAVES for wave, light, photon-energy, and spectroscopy calculations and UNITCON for SI prefixes and unit conversions.
A separate EMHELP Free Companion Program is also available at no cost. EMHELP reviews important concepts and helps you identify which of the five solver programs to use for a particular problem.
Before you buy: These are digital TI-84 Plus CE calculator programs. They are designed for the TI-84 Plus CE, TI-84 Plus CE Python, and TI-84 Plus CE-T Python Edition. 🎁 Free Companion Program: EMHELP
Not sure which equation or program to use? Download EMHELP free. This concept-help and navigation program reviews major electricity and magnetism topics directly on your calculator and points you toward EM1, EM2, EM3, WAVES, or UNITCON when you are ready to calculate.
EMHELP covers electrostatics, capacitors, DC circuits, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, transformers, AC circuits, waves and optics, polarization, Maxwell's equations, and more. It also includes a Quick Index for finding the right program quickly.
EMHELP is concept help rather than a full numerical solver. Use it to understand the physics and choose the correct approach; then use the appropriate solver program for the calculation.

A Simple Workflow
1. Identify the topic. Is the problem about electric fields, circuits, magnetic fields, induction, AC circuits, waves, or units?
2. Use EMHELP if you are unsure. Review the concept, equation, sign convention, or direction rule and see which solver program handles it.
3. Check your units. Use UNITCON when you need to convert micro-, nano-, milli-, kilo-, mega-, or other units before solving.
4. Open the solver. Use EM1, EM2, EM3, or WAVES to perform the appropriate calculation and then check that the result makes physical sense.
Program Details
EM1 — Electrostatics, Capacitors & DC Circuits
Start with EM1 when a problem involves electric charges, electric forces, fields, voltage, potential energy, capacitors, or standard DC circuits.
Major sections include Electric Fields, Capacitors, Circuits, and E&M Units. EM1 includes calculations involving Coulomb's Law, point-charge fields, electric potential, electric work and energy, dipoles, Gauss's Law, capacitor geometry and combinations, Ohm's Law, resistor networks, power, Kirchhoff's Laws, and RC circuits.
EM2 — Magnetism, Induction & Transformers
Use EM2 for magnetic-force and magnetic-field problems and for electromagnetic induction.
Major sections include Magnetic Fields, Electromagnetism, Inductors, Transformers, and Maxwell Equations. Topics include Lorentz force, Biot-Savart Law, Ampere's Law, magnetic flux, solenoids, Faraday's Law, Lenz's Law, motional EMF, RL circuits, inductive energy, transformer relationships, and Maxwell's equations.
EM3 — AC Circuits, RLC & Wave Optics
Use EM3 when a problem moves into alternating-current circuits or wave optics.
The AC section includes series and parallel RLC circuits, impedance, reactance, current and voltage relationships, resonance, Q factor, bandwidth, AC power, phase relationships, and phasors. The optics sections include interference, diffraction, polarization, Malus's Law, Brewster's angle, and related wave-optics calculations.
WAVES — Wave, Light & Photon Calculator
WAVES is useful when a physics problem involves wavelength, frequency, wave speed, light, or photon energy.
It can calculate wavelength, frequency, wave speed, speed of light in a medium, photon energy, and energy per mole. It also includes visible-light color identification and spectroscopy tools with selected element emission-line references.
UNITCON — Unit Converter
Unit errors are one of the easiest ways to get a physics problem wrong even when the correct formula is used. UNITCON helps convert values before they are entered into the solver programs.
Particularly useful for electricity and magnetism are SI-prefix conversions involving milli, micro, nano, pico, kilo, mega, and giga. UNITCON also includes conversions for length, mass, area, volume, speed, temperature, pressure, angles, time, rates, and more.
