These are images from my local Staples. This is the short time of the year for TI 84 bargains. You have about 2 weeks for TI 84 graphing calculators at these low prices. Even if you cannot make it to Staples, you can purchase your TI 84 calculator from Wal-Mart or Target or Best Buy.
Two Recommendations
First, buy them from a local retailer. This way you can return the calculator within the return period. For most of these big box stores, that’s two weeks. So, definitely put your calculator through its paces once you buy it. You can to be sure your calculator works fine and can charge well and connect to the internet.
Second, buy only the TI 84 Plus or TI 84 CE. These can both upload/download programs and connect to the internet. This is key as you will want to use programs when available. Programs are legal for your calculator for the SAT. And, for some high school and college classes, programs are allowed. For this, you need the capability to connect to the internet. Therefore, keep your cables and make sure you can connect at least to the charger.
One point of clarification: the TI 84 Plus uses batteries. It’s less expensive, but bulkier because of this. While the TI 84 Plus is a wonderful calculator, the expense in batteries over its lifetime makes it just as expensive as the TI 84 CE. The TI 84 CE is sleeker, weighs less, and has more memory than its TI 84 Plus cousin. Just a word to the wise.

Please plan ahead and buy one now if you or your student is in a math class algebra 1 or higher. This assumes it is allowed for use in class. Even if it isn’t, it will be allowed in upper-level math classes.
